1、Application background
This intelligent craning operation/navigation system is designed to meet the management/operational needs for steel sheet warehousing, intermediate warehousing and steel roll warehousing of major steel works. According to the functional requirements of loading, unloading and lay-down/unloading in the different areas of warehouse, which demandingly asks for dynamic positioning and real time data is required. The laser sensor will have to measure the position of the crane in real time, the distances between the cranes, in conjunction with the three-dimensional positioning of the cranes, intelligent navigation of cranes, automatic data acquisition, and hence form an all-round intelligent crane positioning system.
2、System principle
The target plate of the MIDEKER laser sensor is mounted at one end of the crane track, the track has a fixed length, and the sensor features a continuous measurement mode to transmit the measured data to the crane control system in real time. The control system can identify the position of the crane in real time according to the measured value of the sensor.

A:Beam end point
B:Protection switch
C:Forced braking position
D:Alarm location/point
On the same track of the crane, two or more cranes are working at the same time. At this time, it is necessary to consider the risk for collision between the two cranes. When the two cranes move in collision directions, the safety distance between the two cranes is set in the sensor switch that can l cut off the power supply for the cranes when they are moving within the unsafe distance in the collision course so that they will stop.
